“I am an Applications Representative for TRAK Machine Tools and a Fusion 360 user. Our ProtoTRAK CNC milling controls allow parts to be programmed directly from a solid model. To facilitate this, we chose the Parasolid (.X_T) format for importing solids into our control. One challenge I, along with other Fusion 360 users, faced was the lack of a built-in Parasolid (.X_T) export option in Fusion 360. I discovered ProtoTech through word of mouth and reached out for a trial of their Fusion 360 Parasolid exporting app. Initially, there were a few formatting issues, but ProtoTech’s competent team quickly resolved them. Now, I design my models in Fusion 360, export them using ProtoTech’s app, and import the .X_T files into our control for programming.
